Hyperallergic  — The paintings in Women of Abstract Expressionism at the Denver Art Museum are rich with emotion, monumental in scale, and totally original. The exhibition presents more than 50 paintings by 12 artists, some of whom are rarely discussed as contributors to the Abstract Expressionist movement. Like any ‘first,’ the first comprehensive show on these women artists raises as many questions as it answers.
